Episode 7
The Heart, in its journey to Allah subhanawat’ala is like that of a bird: Love is its head, and fear and hope are its two wings. When the head and two wings are sound, the bird flies gracefully; if the head is severed, the bird dies; if the bird loses one of its wings, it then becomes a target for every hunter or predator.

Love, fear and hope; they are the guardians of what we do. Humans
are driven by love, or the absence of love (that is hatred). Fear and hope keep
our life in balance. We fear that something is not going to turn out the way we
want, to the point that we sometimes give up trying. But hope is there to keep
us going. For we know that Allah is capable of everything. And in hope of
getting what we want, sometimes our effort goes skyrocketing, to even do what
is forbidden for us to do. But fear is there to stop us, for we know that Allah
is severe in punishment. If we lose either fear or hope, we will succumb to
never ending desires; and be the victim of self-destruction.
Love, fear and hope. They brought me here today. The ultimate love for Allah, fear of His punishment, and hope for His Mercy……..
Eyes fixed on the flock of seagulls up in the air; above the clear blue ocean. They move like acrobats of the sky; making unique formations one after another. SubhanAllahi wabihamdihi, SubhanAllahil ‘adzim. It’s winter. But I cannot separate myself from the beach. To be here alone, watching nature at its best, to be thinking about my Love, it's priceless. No matter how many layers I have to put on.
As the gush of icy-cold wind brushes off my face, memory of that turning point comes alive. Seems like yesterday I was lost in the ocean of darkness, and today I was reborn to look at the world from a different angle. Aisyah. She will always be special to me. Who would ever think that one decision; which seemed to be small and insignificant at that point of time, has turned my life 180 degrees.
“Aisyah, usrah tu apa?”
“[senyum]. Usrah tu maknanya family. Family means no one is left behind”
